Turn Fat Into Muscle- My Story

I began researching how to turn fat into muscle my sophomore year in college; I did so when several friends of mine were lifting in the main gym with me of the campus gymnasium, and during one of our breaks one of the guys slid in the question almost sheepishly- “Hey guys…” he said weakly, looking at several of the other weightlifters in the gym, a couple of which probably were 220lbs and had more muscle in their pinky than we did in our entire bodies:

Can you turn fat into muscle?

We all stopped for a moment, a rare moment of reflection among college sophomores, two who were too skinny, and one of which, me, who just weighed too much.

I went back to my dorm that night and went on the internet- most of the answers really threw me into a dark place, and didn’t give me much hope. Most said the same things, that it was simply against a slew of physical laws, and that certain compounds just would be impossible to convert because fat and muscle were just two completely different variables, and my continued research confirmed this- I went to the library and took out several books that lightly touched on the subject, and most seemed to reiterate what many of the internet articles stated.

My two friends would disagree with each other- one simply wanted to know how to turn fat into muscle, while the other thought it was absolutely possible, and jumped into wanting to know how to turn fat into muscle fast. Having gained the knowledge from two different fronts, I eventually learned (in part from this site) that although it is technically impossible to turn fat into muscle, that it was still possible to mimic the effects of what it would look like if you did.

As I state in my about page, I’m a high level mesomorph- this means that while I technically have some advantages such as harder skin and “stockiness”, I still had far too much weight- I was 5′11 and weighed 190lbs; I didn’t exactly look fat, yet at the same time I was borderline.

The “Transformed” Man

Eventually I became determined to transform my appearance- I no longer cared if I couldn’t technically turn fat into muscle, but rather just wanted to find a way that would give me ironclad results to make it appear as if I did- it’s what I now call the “illusion” of turning fat into muscle- there are specific regiments that you can put you’re body through that will indeed mimic such effects, often maximizing your physical appearance without having to waste money on the seemingly countless amount of “get fit quick” scams that are out there.

Most of it just involves some time and hard work; and while technically I didn’t turn any of my fat into muscle, It certainly looks- and feels, as though I did.

I’m confident that the various posts and articles on this site will help you towards reaching you’re goal of physical appearance and fitness, and while I don’t have all the answers, I can tell you exactly what worked for me; and like I say, while it may not be possible to turn fat into muscle in the strictest sense, there are definite steps you can take to give yourself a full physical transformation without all the gimmicks.

As always, please visit our sister site to gain even more information on the subject if you want.
